California Toilet Frog

I recently received a chain letter email that warned against a deadly spider, the dangerous arachnius gluteus, that hides under public toilet seats. One bite on the tush can lead to fever, chills, and vomiting, followed by muscular collapse, paralysis, and finally, death. Fortunately the arachnius gluteus is fiction. But on our trip to LA we discovered the California Toilet Frog. We drove up the Ortega Highway on our way home and stopped at a horse camp. There was a public restroom there with flush toilets. While I was using their restroom, this frog jumped out of the toilet bowl. At first I thought it was a rat and screamed. Kelly was in the next stall frantically asking me what was happening. Upon realizing it was just a frog I finished up and quickly got out of there. Turns out he's quite cute but he sure gave me a fright!

Nutburger Woo

So, on Monday, I got this email from a friend entitled: I don't care if you think I'm a nutburger- read this and do it. The email said to scrutinize your life and write down the way you want EVERY THING to go since on Tuesday due to a ultraviolet pulse beam our thoughts and emotions will be magnified a million times. Whoa. That's not an easy task. But I've heard that people spend more time planning a vacation than they do their retirement, let alone their entire life. How can we live the life we want if we never really decide how we want our lives to go? Most people go through life passively without actively creating what they want. So I played along and with the advice of a financial book I made a list of my top 6 goals in each area of my life: body, brain, being, relationships, time, money, and career. And then I visualized myself accomplishing each of my goals and living the life I want. So even if it's all nutburger woo at least I've got my priorities straight. The woo is below:

This is the beginning, one of many trigger events to come between now and 2013. An ultraviolet (UV) pulse beam radiating from higher dimensions in universe-2 will cross paths with the Earth on this day. Earth will remain approximately within this UV beam for 17 hours of your time. This beam resonates with the heart chakra, it is radiant fluorescent in nature, blue/magenta in colour. Although it resonates in this frequency band, it is above the colour frequency spectrum of your universe-1 which you, Earth articulate in. However due to the nature of your soul and soul groups operating from Universe-2 frequency bands it will have an effect. The effect is every thought and emotion will be amplified intensely one million-fold. Yes, we will repeat, all will be amplified one millions time and more. Every thought, every emotion, every intent, every will, no matter if it is good, bad, ill, positive, negative, will be amplified one million times in strength. What does this mean ?
Since all matter manifest is due to your thoughts, i.e. what you focus on, this beam will accelerate these thoughts and solidify them at an accelerated rate making them manifest a million times faster than they normally would. For those that do not comprehend. Your thoughts, what you focus on create your reality. This UV beam thus can be a dangerous tool. For if you are focused on thoughts which are negative to your liking they will manifest into your reality almost instantly. Then again this UV beam can be a gift if you choose it to be. Mission-1017 requires approximately one million people to focus on positive,
benign, good willed thoughts for themselves and the Earth and Humanity on this day. Your thoughts can be of any nature of your choosing, but remember whatever you focus on will be made manifest in a relatively faster than anticipated time frame. To some the occurrences may almost be bordering on the miracle. All we ask is positive thoughts of love, prosperity, healing, wealth, kindness, gratitude be focused on. This UV beam comes into full affect for 17 hrs on the 17th of October 2006. No matter what time zone you are in the hours are approximately 10:17 am on the 17th of October to 1:17 am on the 18th October. The peak time will be 17:10 (5:10 pm) on the 17th October. You do not need to be in a meditative state through out this time, though would be beneficial. The main key time no matter what time zone you are in will be the peak time of 17:10 (5:10 pm). Perhaps at this time if you can find a peaceful spot or location to focus. The optimum is out in the vicinity of grounded nature, likened to that of a large tree or next to the ocean waves. Focus on whatever it is you desire. What is required for the benefit of all Earth and Humanity is positive thoughts of loving nature. We call this UV beam trigger event, "818" gateway. Please forward this message to as many people as you know who will use this cosmic trigger event to focus positive, good willed thoughts. We require approximately 1-million people across globe to actively participate in this event. Please use whatever communication mediums you have at your disposal. Reach out to as many people as possible. We require 1-million plus people at the least to trigger a shift for humanity from separation and fragmentation to one of unification and oneness. Caliente Tropics Resort

Over labor day weekend Kelly and I went to LA to visit Kelly's friend. It is only a six (read nine) hour drive to LA but because it is unlikely that we will leave the house before 10:00am and sometimes not until noon, we decided to leave on Friday after work and get a hotel halfway there. Kelly didn't want to stay on a hotel off of the freeway due to freeway noise so she reserved us a hotel in Palm Springs. So at 1:00am we are driving down the main streets of Palms Springs (which are very cute, btw) with only a MapQuest map and Kelly's intuition to guide us. I was beginning to wish that I had participated in the reservation process when Kelly found the hotel. We were greeted by a very round dark-skinned man in a floral print Hawaiian shirt surrounded by tikis and bamboo. Apparently, the Caliente Tropics Resort is "one of the last standing Polynesian-themed motor hotels out of the 60's". With tikis and Easter Island heads galore we were tickled pink. There were even hand-painted tiki lights outside every room. According to a plaque in the hotel room bathroom with the image of a naked gnome on it the resort was opened in 1964 by Ken Kimes. Kimes owned a chain of other themed motels and for reasons not explained on the plaque his wife and son were convicted for murder and kidnapping. A google search for Ken Kimes led to an article on the crime libary that tells all: incest, slavery, multiple murders, and even conning the President. It ends with the mother being sentenced to 120 years in prison and the son 125. Murder aside, the Caliente Tropics Resort was so much fun we almost called Kelly's friend in LA to say "We're not coming. Meet us here at the Tropics!"

Lazy Saturday

Today my head is filled with remnants from my dreams and images from the book I just finished. Swimming in cool mineral-laden water on a hot day, a shotgun, blindly walking through cornfields, a dead dog, rainstorms, and empty, packed up houses. Today is a cat's day. Instead of enviously eying the cats as they lounge languidly over the furniture, I too can sprawl over the sofa. My only requirement today is to eventually get dressed so I can go out to celebrate the marriage Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen which I happily celebrate each year at this time. The evening will be filled with doppelbock, bratwurst, polka, funky hats, and the chicken dance. What a perfect Saturday.
